The Balvenie, "Tales of character written in whisky"

Speyside single malt distillery founded in 1892 in the abandoned Balvenie New House. They started the distillation process on May 1th 1893. In 1971 the first official bottling of The Balvenie single malt whisky is released.

The Balvenie is unique among single malts, thanks to the natural alchemy and centuries-old craftsmanship. Their whisky-making process is dedicated to maintaining the Five Rare Crafts and they are the only distillery in Scotland that still grows its own barley, uses traditional floor malting and keeps a team of coopers and a coppersmith on site. Malt Master David C. Stewart MBE presides over the maturation process. All this is what makes The Balvenie the most hand-crafted of single malts.
